According to Mr. Tagger, the founder of SML Group is Sun Shaowen, whose ancestral home is Dongguan, Guangdong, China's "King of Tagging", "Outstanding Dongguan Merchants" of the World Conference of Dongguan Merchants, Justice of the peace of Hong Kong, etc. SML Group was founded in 1985. After more than thirty years of development, SML Group has become one of the three major brand label service providers worldwide, with operations spanning the globe. Sales and customer service offices, research and development centers, and production bases are located in 24 countries worldwide, with over 4500 employees. On January 9, 2023, SML Group submitted a prospectus on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, intending to be listed on the Hong Kong Main Board. The prospectus shows that in the past eight months of 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022, SML Group's operating revenue was HKD 2.926 billion, 2.611 billion, 3.437 billion, and 2.326 billion, respectively, with corresponding net profits of HKD 94 million, 25 million, 203 million, and 139 million.
